RTI in UPSC

In 2006 thousands of UPSC aspirants and examinees filed RTI applications and asked for information regarding the cut off marks in their subjects and other related information. This issue gained a lot of news value as CIC and the High Court ordered in favor of applicants and directed the DoPT to provide requested information. Kabir helped several Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) aspirants and examinees seek information from the UPSC by filing RTI applications and appeals. Some of the information sought by the applicants became controversial and UPSC appealed in the Supreme Court against the High Court and CIC rulings directing it to provide all the information sought by applicants.
