Did you Get Justice from CIC?

It was expected that the CIC would rectify its irresponsible way of functioning and take strong measures to smoothen the flow of information after the Jansun wai but CIC failed to do so. Kabir and Parivartan along with other RTI activists launched a campaign in front of the Central Information Office for more than one and half months wherein people coming out of CIC office were asked if they were satisfied with the CIC's decisions. The appellants were simply asked: “Did you get justice from CIC?”

200 appellants shared their experiences with Kabir. Most of the appellants complained that the information commissioners were not adhering to the RTI Act and are sympathizing with the officials who prefer keeping their activities a secret. All these experiences were then shared with the media. Some of the cases noted by Kabir are now being challenged in the High Court by the Public Cause Research Foundation.
